The Ceres Negros FC eyes to write another history tonight when they face Home United of Singapore for their last match in the group stage of the 2018 AFC Cup at the Panaad Park and Stadium.
Ceres FC mentor Risto Vidakovic said during yesterday’s press conference, that while it is an excellent group stage for them, the presence of the home crowd is enough motivation for them. “We have played against Home thrice and we already know each other and this is a challenge for us,” he said.
“The history is in our hands. We are very happy and looking forward to finish on top of the group and advance to the next stage. We believe in our strength and the team. We want to deliver quality performance. The crowd is always the 12th man for us,” Ceres FC star Stephan Schrock said.
When asked how the team prepares against the possible challenge from the visiting team, Vidakovic said that they are ready and have prepared a game plan.
On the other hand, Home United head coach Aidil Sharin said that they expect a tough game against Ceres FC. “We came to get the 3 points. But, we have to be smart on how we play and not commit error,” the Singaporean coach said.
Expecting that Maranon isn’t the lone source of goal for Ceres FC, Sharin said that they have game plan for the Philippine side.
The two clubs met last February 27 at the Jalan Besar Stadium with a 1-all draw score-line.
