Kabankalan City-native Roldan ‘The Cobra’ Aldea cameout with a stunning 7th round technical knockout win over Nathan Bolcio to capture the Games and Amusements Board lightweight belt over the weekend at the Elorde Sports Complex in Parañaque City.
During their face-off, Aldea dominated the fight with numerous combinations – almost sent Bolcio in the canvas. But, Bolcio tried to take control of the fight but, Aldea’s quick hands denied the veteran as the Negrense went all the way.
It was Andrea’s 12th win in his professional career after making his debut in 2012 alongside 4 defeats and a draw. The 23-year-old Negrense also scored a knockout win last year against Warren Mambuanag.
Andrea also got an opportunity to fight in title matches but, lost via knockdown– WBO Youth Intercontinental super featherweight against Russian Shavkatdzhon Rakhimov in 2016 and for the Interim WBO Oriental super featherweight belt against Terdsak Jandaeng of Thailand in 2015.
On the other hand, Bacolod City-pride Ricardo Sueno bagged his fourth consecutive win in the undercard.
Sueno scored a unanimous-decision win over the Japanese Ryosuke Nasu to improve his record to 6 wins with pair of defeats.*
