Servania captures WBO AsPac featherweight belt in Japan

He’s back.

Genesis ‘Azukal’ Servania finally got another boxing title after his last 2 years ago – the World Boxing Organization Asia-Pacific featherweight belt.

The 25-year-old Bacolod City pride that currently fights under Kashimi boxing gym in Japan remained undefeated with 19 victories including 12 knockouts after stopping Filipino compatriot Ralph Jhon Lulu in 2 rounds over the weekend at Sangyo Hall in Kanazawa, Japan.

The barrage of punches poured by Servania against Lulu forced the referee to step in and stop the contest.

“I’m happy that I was given again the opportunity to fight in the championship. It’s been a while when I had my last title fight,” Servania said. “I’m very thankful for everyone who prayed and supported me especially my family,” he added.

Servania also said that his manager is looking at a title fight for him soon. “They have a plan for me to fight in the world championship. But, I don’t really know yet about the details. I’m just waiting for their decision,” he added.

The Bacolodnon is  currently ranked No.4 in the WBO junior featherweight ruled by undefeated American champion Jessie Magdaleno (25-0 with 18 KOs) and No. 9 in the IBF kinged by Japanese Yukinori Oguni (19-1 with 7KOs).

The recent win also earned him in the top 15 of the featherweight division ruled by Mexican undefeated champion Oscar Valdez (20-0 with 18 KOs).*
