2017 DFL 1st Conference kicks off in Talisay City

ANOTHER great football season awaits the hundreds of young booters in the province as the 2017 Dynamic Football League 1st Conference kicks off today at the Sta. Maria football field in Talisay City.

Known as the grassroots development tournament of the Negros Occidental Football Association (NOFA), the event which began years ago has already opened numerous opportunities for the young footballers to enhance their talents.

Today, 36 teams from various schools and clubs are set to compete in 4 age-group divisions.

For the U9 Boys are: Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, Sikatz Sum-ag Elementary School, Montevista Elementary School, Trinity Christian School, Himamaylan City Football Club, Bago City Elementary School and Don Bosco Tech. Institute.

Meanwhile, the U11 Boys division will feature teams from Rizal Elementary School, Bago City Elementary School, Apolinario Mabini Elementary School, Sikatz Sum Ag Elementary School, Montevista Elementary School, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos A and B, Trinity Christian School, Don Bosco Tech. Institute, University of St. La Salle-Integrated School A and B, Himamaylan City Football Club, Kickers FC and the San Enrique FC.

The U15 Boys, on the other hand, will have eight teams that include; Centurions FC, Ramon Torres National High School, Dr. Vicente Gustilo Memorial National High School , Trinity Christian School, Don Bosco Tech. Institute, Athletico De Magallon Football Club, University of St. La Salle-Integrated School and STI – West Negros University.

And, for the U16 Girls are the Rizal Elementary School, Cadiz Rushkals, La Carlota City, University of St. La Salle-Integrated School, STI – West Negros University, and Pontevedra A and B.

DFL benefactor and over-all chairman Ricky Yanson see this tournament as a justification of the effort made by the NOFA and the league to develop future footballers in the province.*
