Ceres FC plays Singapore tune-ups early February

NEGROS Occidental-based Ceres Negros FC is set to fly to Singapore early February 2 to play tune-up against Home United on February 4 then Singapore’s U23 on February 6 and RHB defending Jurong Albirex Niigata Singapore FC on February 8.

Fil-Australian left winger Iain Ramsay (center) has completed his transfer to Ceres Negros FC. He will play a vital role for the team in the AFC Cup and Philippines Football League. Also in photo are Club Director Ali Go and Team Manager James Dinsay.

These tune-up matches is part of Ceres FC preparation to their first AFC Cup Group G away match against Vietnam’s Hà Nội or SHB Đà Nẵng on February 21.

Over the weekend, Ceres FC ruled over Stallion Laguna FC, 6-2 in latter’s turf in Biñan on the 4 goals from Spanish striker Fernando Rodríguez Ortega and one apiece from Fil-Australian Iain Ramsay and Jim Junior Muñoz.

Ramsay and Muñoz are among the 7 Fil-foreign players signed up by Ceres FC in preparation for the AFC Cup and Philippines League. The players include Json de Jong, Simone Rota, OJ Porteria, Joshua Grommen and ace goalkeeper Roland Müller.

Team manager James Dinsay said that Ramsay has complete transferred to Ceres Negros FC and will be one of the important factors in the team.*
