District 3 of the combined force of cities of Victorias, Silay and Talisay as well as the towns of Murcia and EB Magalona wrapped up the over-all title in the 7th Gov. Alfredo G. Marañon, Jr., Boxing Championship at the Pontevedra Sports and Cultural Center.
In claiming the title, District 3 boxers won six (6) gold, five (5) silver and four (4) bronze medals dethroning defending champions District 6 which settled 2nd runner up with 4 golds, 3 silvers and 9 bronze medals.
Meanwhile, District 1 composed of cities of San Carlos and Escalante alongside towns of Calatrava, Toboso, and Salvador Benedicto finished 1st runner-up with 4 golds, 4 silvers and 5 bronze medals.
On the other hand, District 4 (Bago City, La Carlota City, Pulupandan, Valladolid, San Enrique, and Pontevedra) ended 3rd runner-up with 4 golds, 2 silvers and 4 bronzes followed by District 2 (Sagay City, Cadiz City and Manapla) 4 golds, 2 silvers and 3 bronzes.
District 5 (Himamaylan City, Moises Padilla, La Castellana, Isabela Hinigaran and Binalbagan), meanwhile, garnered 4 silvers and 9 bronze medals while the Lone District of Bacolod collected two silvers and three bronze medals to complete the standing.
